Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for photo cleaning part and bias developing part by using a photoreceptor having charging potentials of 100 to 300V to an electrophotographic apparatus which consists of a photosensitive drum, a primary charging part, an exposure part, a developing part, a transfer part, a cleaning brush, etc. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic apparatus consists of a primary charging part 12, an exposure part 13 which forms latent images according to the desired images, a developing part 14 which deposits toner along the latent images and a bias developing circuit 14' which cooperates with said developing part 14, a transfer part 15 which transfers the toner having deposited along the latent images to a hard copy sheet 18, a photo cleaning part 16 which drops the latent image potentials on a photosensitive drum 11 to zero and a cleaning brush part 17 which scrapes off the toner on the photosensitive drum 11, along the circumference of the photosensitive drum 11. For the above, the charging potentials which have hitherto been considered better as they are higher are reduced down to 100 to 300V and the time constant of dark decay which has been considered to be better as it is smaller is conversely increased, whereby the need for the bias developing circuit 14' and photo cleaning part 16 is eliminated.
