Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the shift of an image due to rise of a copying material at the leading grip portion by providing remedy means for eliminating the rise of the copy material after it is grasped at tis leading end by grasp means and before the image forming process.
CONSTITUTION: In a copier, one or plural remedy rollers 16 on the circumference of a transfer drum from a guide plate 1 to a copying charger 7 and at a close spacing egual to that between a transfer drum 1 and a photosensitive drum 2. As a result, at the exit of a guide plate 11 and between a receiver 12 of the drum 1 and a glipper 13, a copy material P having its leading end gripped has passed through the remedy rollers 16 before they reach the charger 7 so that their raised portion P' is sufficiently flattened by the remedy rollers. Thus, it is possible to form a correctly composed color image from the first transfer.
