Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure the moving speed of magnetic object accurately in non- contact state, without influences due to fluctuations of passing position, by passing the magnetic object to be measured through an air core coil.
CONSTITUTION: When the head of a magnetic object 9 enters an air core coil 1, the impedance of the coil 1 changes, so that the balance of a bridge 17 is broken. As a result, a detection signal (a) is supplied into an amplifier 4. In consequence, a monostable multivibrator 5 emits a measurement start pulse (d) to a counter 6. when the head of the magnetic object 9 reaches an air core coil 2 provided at a certain disance l, a measurement stop signal (e) is supplied to the counter 6 through the monostable multivibrator 5. An operator 8 reads the measured volue (c) sent from the counter 6, and calculates the time required for passing between air core coils 1, 2 from the clock period which is prelimiarily stored. Then, the speed of the object 9 is determined from the certain distance l, and is displayed in a display device 12.
