Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the picture quality of color CRT by insuring full shield effect by contriving the form and dimensions of inner shield.
CONSTITUTION: Fit inner shields 12 and 12' on the opposite sides of frame 11 of shadow mask 11 along the short sides of front surface by keeping certain narrow space 13 which sufficiently shields the horizontal earth magnetism. Furthermore, make sure that the length B of shields 12 and 12' in the axial direction of tube is long enough to completely surround the travelling electronic beam that has been deflected by the deflection yoke and to fully shield the horizontal magnetic component.
