Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit a proper detection of the abnormal state throughout the whole load driving speed range based upon the fluctuation of the motor supply current by a method wherein the overload detection level is compensated based on the load driving setting voltage characteristics in the high rotational frequency range.
CONSTITUTION: The service current(voltage) characteristics to the motor M for the use of driving conveyer belts or the like is obtained after the current(voltage) is detected across the registor 1, rectified and smoothed. The signal based on the characteristics of the motor speed setting voltage supplied to the input IN and the reference voltage for the overload detection level compensation established by the division ratio of the resistors R4, R5 are put into the amplifier AP1 and the overload detection level in the high rotational frequency range is compensated. This signal and the smoothed signal incoming from the power source terminal voltage are put into the amplifier AP2 and then, the overload detection reference signal from the amplifier AP2 and the aforementioned supply current characteristic signal are put into the amplifier AP3 and if the overload state continues for a certain time or more, a signal is gelerated at the output terminal OUT of the amplifier AP4.
