Abstract
PURPOSE: To make easy the cutting of feeder part after casting and also, to delay the early stage solidification of molten metal of neck part, by burying the magnetic coil for the molten metal rotation at the neck part formed along the boundary of the feeder part and main body part.
CONSTITUTION: The neck part 4 is formed along the boundary of the feeder part 2 and the main body part 3 of the mold 1, such as sand mold etc. and the electromagnetic coil 5 for molten metal rotation, is buried at the part 4. An electric current is turned on the coil 5 after pouring the molten metal in the mold 1 and the part 2 of the molten metal is solidified while giving the rotation to the molten metal of the part 4. Bt the above method, the molten metal of the part 4 is stirred focibly and lowering the action effect of the feeder is prevented. Also, there is no possibility of diffusing heat generating agent etc. in the molten metal because heat generating sleeve is not used.
