Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit thin plating of good quality at high speed by controlling the vibration of steel strip by providing a separation guide at a boundary between a galvanizing metal rising with steel strip and the galvanizing metal going down by the interruption of gas from nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The hot galvanizing metals 20a and 20b lifted with the steel strip 9 from the bath surface 7 are controlled by the wipers 16a and 16b or 15a and 15b, and further controlled by the tips of the separation guides 18a and 18b so that the variation in the amount of the galvanizing metal adhered is lessened when it reaches the nozzles 10a and 10b. Then, the amount of the galvanizing metal adhered is finally controlled uniformly by a gas jetted from the nozzles 10a and 10b. The wipers 15a, 15b, 16a, and 16b and the separation guides 18a and 18b serve to control the rise of the adhered galvanizing metal and also to suppress the vibration of the steel strip 9, combined with the vibraton control effects of the outlet rolls 8a and 8b, thus permitting good quality galvanized steel strip products to be obtained.
