Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a photosensitive printing plate with fine powder assuredly heat-fusion-bonded to the surface by preheating the back side of a photosensitive printing plate with heat-fusion-bondable fine powder attached to the surface and contacting a heating roll of high releasability to the plate surface. CONSTITUTION:Preheating roll 4A is contacted to back side 2A of photosensitive printing plate 1 which is continuously running at a constant speed to preheat plate 1, and heat-fusion-bondable fine powder such as polyvinyl acetate or polyvinylidene chloride powder of 0.5-40mu diameter in a fixed direction is supplied to surface 2B (photosensitive layer side) of plate 1 with powder feeder 3 in a rate of 0.005- 0.5g/m<2> and uniformly dispersion-attached. Plate 1 is then passed between heating roll 4B with high surface releasability and pressure-contacting roll 5 with high heat insulating properties to pressure-contact surface 2B to roll 4B, whereby the powder is fused and bonded to surface 2B.
