Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor having superior sensitivity, resolving power and gradation reproducibility and free from charge accumulation even after repeated use by using specified substances as a carrier generating substance and a carrier transferring substance.
CONSTITUTION: A compound represented by the formula [where each of R1 and R2 is benzyl; each of R2 and R4 is H, (cyclo)alkyl, alkenyl or aryl; each of R7 and R9 is halogen, hydroxy, (cyclo)alkyl, aryl, alkoxy or amino; each of R8 and R10 is H, halogen, hydroxy, (cyclo)alkyl, aryl, alkoxy or amino; each of R5 and R6 is H, (cyclo)alkyl, (cyclo)alkenyl or aryl; and R5 and R6 may bond to each other to form a hydrocarbon ring] is used as a carrier transferring substance. On electrically conductive support 1 about 0.005W20μ thick carrier generating layer consisting of amorphous selenium, a selenium alloy and a perillen derivative and about 2W100μ thick carrier transferring layer 3 made of the above-mentioned compound are formed to manufacture a photoreceptor.
