Abstract
PURPOSE: To apply one drawing die in drawing of products in a wide range, by matching the hole in blank holder plate with the outside diameter of product of the minimum size, and preventing deflection of the punch when press forming.
CONSTITUTION: When the press operates, first a press outer 52 lowers, and an upper blank holder 9, in the lower end part thereof, presses the peripheral part of the work W against the supporting surface 2a of a lower blank holder 2. Then, a press ram 51 lowers to push down an upper punch riser 7. As a result, compression springs 13, 14 of a hanging piece 10 are compressed, so that a piston 12 is contracted. At the same time, a lower punch riser 4 and a plurality of cushion pins 8 are pushed down. Accordingly, the punch 5 lowers to draw the work W. By the group of these pins 8, deflection of the punch 5 may be prevented. The group of pins 8 is moved to a position properly spaced from the slide surface 3b depending on the size of the work W, and holders 2, 9 and punch 5 are replaced with proper ones, so that varied products may be processed.
