Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide sufficient strength to weld zone by so selecting the components and compositions of filler metal that the weld zone becomes austenite structure at the time of electric-welding hard alloy and iron base member.
CONSTITUTION: In electric welding of hard alloy containing Co, WC, TiC, etc. and iron base member, the chemical components and compositions of the Ni, Cr, Fe, etc. in filler metal are so selected that the composition of the molten pool formed by melting of the three of the hard alloy, iron base member and filler metal becomes austenite structure. In this method, a TIG welding method or the like is used so that deep penetration may be obtained. This method reduces the number of welding steps and improves productivity.
