Solvent contained in plastics 10 is then evaporated with heating elements 13 to bake plastics 7 on wire 3, thus giving optical fiber core wire 8. Since wire 3 is applied with equal press. even under several hundreds atm, the optical loss of wire 8 does not increase, and wire 8 is utilized as a core wire for submarine optical fiber cable.
