Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide sulfur-crosslinkable rubber compsn. having excellent ozone resistance consisting of acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer and sulfur-crosslinkable acrylic copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: (A) From 97W50pts.wt. of acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer is mixed with (B) 3W50pts.wt. of sulfur-crosslinkable acrylic copolymer obtd. by blending (a) alkoxyalkyl acrylate, cyanoalkyl acrylate, etc. as main ingredients and, if necessary, a small amount of vinyl cpd. with (c) alkylidenenorbornane, dicyclopentadiene, etc. which facilitate crosslinking, and copolymerizing the resulting blend in the presence of a polymn. modifier such as 2-mercaptobenzothiazole. If necessary, conventional crosslinking agent, crosslinking assistant, reinforcing material, filler, plasticizer, etc. may be added to the mixt.
