Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A cyclohexanecarboxylic acid derivative shown by the formula I (R1 is H or lower alkyl; R2 is 4-methyl-3-pentenyl, 2-carboxyethyl, 3-bromo-4-hydroxy-4-methylpentyl, 3,4-proxy-4-methlpentyl, etc.).
EXAMPLE: Cis-1-methyl-4-(4-methyl-3-pentenyl) cyclohexanecarboxylic acid methyl ester.
USE: A drug having pharmacological action, e.g., an antiallergic action, improvement action of liver function and metabolism of lipid, etc.
PROCESS: A well-known compound shown by the formula II is dehydrated in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid in an inert solvent to give a compound shown by the formula III, which is oxidized to prepare a compound shown by the formula IV. This compound is hydrolyzed to give the desired compound shown by the formula V.
