Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide rubber compsn. which neither contaminates mold and nor lowers physical properties of rubber for vulcanization, obtd. by blending rubber with at least one cpd. selected from benzene or naphthalene derivatives having two kinds of polar gp., imidazoles, thiazoles, oxazoles, thioureas and dithiocarbamic acids.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. of rubber is blended with 0.05W5pts.wt. of at least one cpd. selected from (a) a cpd. having two kinds of polar gp. such as carboxyl gp., hydroxyl gp., aldehyde gp. at 1 and 2-position of benzene nucleus, (b) a cpd. having two kinds of polar gp. on naphthalene nucleus, (c) a cpd. of formula I (wherein R is H, 1W12C alkyl; X1 is -COOH, etc.; Z is S, etc.), (d) a cpd. of formula II (wherein X2 is -OH, etc.), (e) a cpd. of formula III (wherein R1, R2, R3, R4 are H, 1W18C alkyl, aryl), (f) a cpd. of formula IV (wherein R is 1W12C alkyl) and (g) a cpd. of formula V (wherein R1, R2 are 1W18C alkyl) to obtain the desired rubber compsn.
