Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Monoazo compounds of the formula I 'wherein X is a halogen atom, R1 is a lower alkyl, and R2 and R3 are, each, a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxy substituted lower alkyl, an alkenyl, an aralkyl, and an aryl.
EXAMPLE: Monoazo compound of the formula IV.
USE: Monoazo dye to dye fibers such as polyester fiber, etc., which is good in pH- dependence at the time of dip dyeing and white-staining at the time of textile printing and also excellent in sublimation-fastness, light-fastness, etc.
PREPARATION: After the diazotization of 2-halogeno-4,6-dinitroaniline of the formula II, the diazotized compound is coupled with an aniline of the formula III.
