Abstract
PURPOSE: Title water-insoluble monoazo dye that is prepared by diazotizing halogenodinitroaniline and coupled with a specific aniline, thus dyeing especially polyester fibers blue with light and sublimation fastness.
CONSTITUTION: A 2-halogeno-4,6-dinitroaniline of formula I (X is halogen atom) is diazotized and coupled with an aniline of formula II (R1 is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy lower alkyl; R2 is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy lower alkyl, lower alkoxy lower alkoxy lower alkyl) to give title water-insoluble monoazo dye of formula III (X, R1, R2 are the same as above). The resulting dyes are suitably used to dye especially polyester fibers.
