Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a characteristic of the holding capacity of dust and a characteristic of paper force by a method wherein resin is impregnated to filter paper manufactured by mixing fibers, one side is heated and oil is impregnated.
CONSTITUTION: Filter paper 1 manufactured is soaked in a solution such as a phenol resin solution 5, and resin is impregnated. The filter paper 1 is forwarded to a heating furnace 7 by means of a roll 6, and only one side of the filter paper 1 is heated. The filter paper 1 is further soaked in an oil liquid 8 by means of a roll 6', and oil is impregnated. Thus, the filter medium 10 for an air filter is obtained which consists of a resin impregnating portion 2 and a layer formed by impregnating oil to the fibers of a portion 3 which resin is not impregnated.
