Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the conveying direction reversible by providing a direction changing device between two belt conveyers.
CONSTITUTION: A supporting mechanism 35 is rotatably supported by a pivot shaft 39 on a stand 40 disposed between two belt conveyers 33 and 34. On both ends of the supporting mechanism 35, pulleys 36 and 37 are provided respectively and an endless belt 38 is extended between the pulleys 36 and 37 thus constituting a direction changing device. A space 42 is formed on the base 41 of the stand 40 to allow free rotation of the direction changing device in either direction. Articles conveyed by one of the belt conveyers 33 and 34 fall on the endless belt and transferred to the other belt conveyer. The carrying direction can be changed by turning the supporting mechanism 35 to be sloped in reverse direction and turning the belt conveyers in the reverse direction.
