Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide reliable and stable belt drive even if the belt is sagged or stained with oil on the contact surface, by forming at least two clinchers in the pulley groove to be engaged with notches on the V-belt.
CONSTITUTION: A V-pulley has an annular V-shaped groove 11 formed in the external circumference of a pulley 10 having a shaft hole 12 at the center and a setscrew 14 screwed in a boss 13 projected on one side. A pair of clinchers 15a, 15b, apart 180 degree from each other, are set above the bottom 11a of the V-groove 11. For forming the clinchers, small holes 16 parallel to the pulley axis are made at the position on the pulley 10 opposed to the bottom 11a of the groove 11 and pins 17 are passed through the holes 16. The clinchers 15a, 15b are engaged with notches on the V-belt to prevent slip between the pulley and the belt.
