Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure the proper parallel operation control for pump with a simple control circuit by providing a flow relay and a speed relay for required water flow control.
CONSTITUTION: A flow relay 2b and a speed relay 14 which respond to the discharge rate and the revolutions respectively of variable speed pumps 5a and 5b whose speed control is made in accordance with target water flow are provided to start and stop the constant speed pumps 6a, 6b and 6c parallel-operated in accordance with the instructions of the relays 2b and 14. Such a construction is simple and permits the use of an inexpensive flow relay 2b since its signal is allowed to be issued only in response to lower limit flow. Further, the relay 14 is permitted to respond only to upper limit speed to issue signal. Therefore, the both relays 2b and 14 can be low-priced and simplified, and proper parallel pump operation control can be performed with a simple control circuit.
