Abstract

PURPOSE: A quantity controlling apparatus which has high reliability and permits the discharge flow amount of a pump to be easily controlled by a variable resistor and permits the operation order of pumps to be selected freely by a pin board setting device and ratains operation order mechanically.
CONSTITUTION: When the water of a pump #1 is supplied by a plurality of different-capacity pumps 2, the supplied water flow rate signal detected by a flow meter 5 and the flow rate setting signal 21 are compared by an adjusting meter 6. A flow rate controlling valve 4 is controlled so that both signals conincide with, and said signal 21 is applied to a pump quantity controlling apparatus 10, and the quantity of pumps is controlled by the output of this apparatus 10. The quantity controlling apparatus 10 is constituted of variable resistors 14AW14N which take out the discharge flow amount of the pump as simulation signal, calculator 11 which applies the quantity increasing and decreasing instruction from the difference between said simulation signal and the flow rate setting signal 21, stepping relay 12 which retains the instruction described above, and a pin-board setting device 13 which generates pump operating instruction.
