Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify installation construction, by decreasing the number of connection wiring by mounting a temperature sensor to an indoor heat exchanger while installing an indoor temperature sensor and by operating a defrost relay circuit at a point of time when the output difference of both sensors exceeds fixed value.
CONSTITUTION: An indoor exchanger 3, an air filter 4, a fan 5 and an electronic circuit portion are mounted into a casing 2 in an indoor unit 1. An indoor temperature sensor 6D for detecting the temperature of indoor air inhaled to the indoor heat exchanger 3 is disposed to the front of the heat exchanger 3, and a temperature sensor 7 for detecting temperature in the indoor heat exchanger 3 is installed into the heat exchanger 3. The difference of the change of the resistance of the both sensors, the room temperature sensor 6 and the exchanger sensor 7, is amplified by means of a direct current amplifier AD, and a defrost relay RD is operated at a point of time when the difference reaches fixed value. Thus, freezing can be detected without mounting the sensors at the outdoor heat exchanger side, necessary defrost signals can be obtained, frost can postitvely be removed and the number of wiring can be decreased.
