Abstract

PURPOSE: Heat-resistant laminated sheet, excellent in high-frequency electrical characteristics, humidity resistance and dimensional stability, produced by impregnation of sheet base materials with a specified butadiene polymer and a maleimide compound in the presence of an organic peroxide, followed by lamination, heating and compression.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. of a butadiene polymer containing ≥50% of 1,2- butadiene unit with sidechain double bonds in the polymer chain, (B) 10W30pts. wt. of a polymaleimide of the formula (n is 0W5) and (C) 5W100pts.wt. of an epoxy resin having two or more chain- or cyclic epoxy groups in the molecule, are dissolved in an organic solvent, and 0.1W10pts.wt. of an organic peroxide based on 100pts.wt. of the tolal of (A) and (B), is added to the resulting solution, to prepare impregnating varnish. A regired number of prepregs which is obtained by impregnating sheet base materials such as glass cloth and synthetic fiber cloth with the varnish and drying at 200W500°C, are laminated and then hot-cured at 100W200°C and 1W100kg/cm2, to give laminated sheets.
