Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of work for attaching lead frame, by an automated supply of lead frames to the attaching jig.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of lead frames 2 are supplied to a magazine 11 in an overlapped manner. Then, an attaching jig 1 is mounted on a jug base 13 and is pressed in the direction of the arrow to turn the switch 14 on. In consequence, the solenoid 15 is energized to move the plunger in the direction of the arrow. A wedge 16 and a parallel cam 17 fixed to the plunger is moved by the action of a solenoid in the direction of the arrow, so that the wedhe 16 comes into the space between adjacent lead frames. In consequence, the lowermost lead frame is depressed and a stopper 12 is disengaged to permit the lowermost lead frame to drop. The dropped lead frame slides along the slope 19 and is set in the attaching jig 1. Then, as the jig 1 is detached from the base 13, the switch 14 is turned off and the wedhe 16 and the parallel cam 17 are reset to the starting positions by the force of a spring. At the same time, a stopper 12 is raised to the bottom of the magzine to hold the remainder lead frames. This operation is repeated to automatically attach the lead frame to the jig at a high speed and without fail.
