Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of voltage of cell as an external power source under a low-temperature condition, e.g., in water, etc., by providing a heating part and a heat-insulating part in a space between a cell-housing framework and an outer framework surrounding the cell-housing framework. CONSTITUTION:The cell case 1 consists of the outer framework 2 having a double- layered heat-insulating material with an air layer inside and a plated layer in its inside, the cell-housing framework 4 projected inwards for housing the cell 3 from one side opening of the outer framework 2, the cover 5 for heat insulation by covering the opening of the framework 2, the heating part 6, e.g., heater, etc., provided in a space between the frameworks 2 and 4, and the heat insulator 7 composed of a sublimable substance, e.g., naphthalene, etc., filled in the space between the frameworks 2 and 4. The framework 2 is provided with the terminals 8 and 9 connected to each one end of the cell 3 and the heating part 6, the pin 11 to guide the both terminals 8 and 8 to the camera body 10, and the screw 12 connected to each other end of the cell 6 and the heating part 6 and also serves to attach the case 1 to the body 10. Thus, a cell case for camera useable in water can be obtained.
