Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure the easy reduction of the interference wave by installing the prescribed wave absorber to the effective area antenna. CONSTITUTION:The wave absorber is installed in region DELTAS which is part of reflector surface S of the effective area antenna, and both the position and form of region DELTAS are set so that radiation field E(theta) may be almost zero in direction theta where the reduction of the side lobe is desired, i.e., the conditions of the equation may be satisfied. In that case, f(s) is the main reflector surface field distribution, lambda is the wavelength, R is the distance between the centers of the transmission and the reception antennas, K is the wave number, and r(s) is the distance from region ds through the center of the reception antenna respectively. In such way, wave absorber 22 is installed on reflector surface 20 of the parabola antenna for example, thus giving reduction to the interference wave in the easy way. Furthermore, if the position of the wave absorber is set adjustably, the side lobe level can be reduced in the optional direction.
