Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent inability of a pressure-regulating valve for control operation and thus to secure a reflux control correctly thereby by adding a device to lead in the air through check valve when a negative exhaust pressure works on the pressure-regulating valve to operate as a part of exhaust gas circulating device.
CONSTITUTION: Intake and exhaust manifolds 401, 402 of an internal combustion engine 4 are connected through a circulating passage 5 by way of an exhaust gas control valve 2. An intake pipe negative pressure near a throttle valve 6 is led into a negative pressure chamber 2B of the control valve 2 through a pressure-regulating valve 1. Then, the pressure-regulating valve 1 consists of a pressure chamber 1A on which an exhaust gas of a constant pressure chamber 2A works and a control chamber 1B through which a supply of the air from a cleaner 110 is controlled according to a diaphragm 101. Then, the pressure chamber 1A is capable of coming through to the atmosphere through a check valve 10 provided with an umbrella- shaped valve 10a, and when the exhaust gas pressure becomes negative, the air is led in the pressure chamber 1A, thus preventing the diaphragm 101 from moving downward.
