Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture the subject heat insulating material formed by a heat insulating layer and hard base plates without contaminating the surfaces of the hard base plates by covering the spaces among the end surfaces of a plurality of the hard base plates with a joint covering sheet-like material, and supplying a synthetic resin foaming material thereto to foam the material. CONSTITUTION:Between a lower mold material A and a mold material B for side wall, both materials being rotated in the arrow direction, there are laid hard base plates 1, 1' 1''... so that their end faces 4 are opposed to each other, and a joint covering sheet-like material 5 having a front surface with a mold releasing property to the synthetic resin foaming member and impervious to the material is pasted between ene faces of respective base plates. Then, a synthetic foaming material 2a is continuously supplied through a nozzle C to a continuous hard base plate 1, and thereon a lining material 3 is fed by way of a roller for a guide concurrently used as a doctor. Then, the material is transferred to a mold formed by an upper mold material D, a lower mold material A and a side wall mold material B, and while the mold is moved, the material is foamed and shaped, and after releasing the mold, the end face 4 is cut off to obtain a heat insulating plate.
