Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic card with the function of protection by using the magnetic card formed of temperature-sensing materials stacked on a magnetic film with the function of magnetic recording and reproduction. CONSTITUTION:In the section of a magnetic card, a magnetic film of high coercive force are applied on substrate 1 in stripes and on magnetic film 2, temperature- sensing magnetic material 3 with a Curie point much lower than that of the magnetic film is stacked. Recording head core 4, even in contact with temperature-sensing magnetic material 3, is unable to perform recording below the Curie point of magnetic material 3 even when a current is applied to recording coil 6. Additionally, even the movement of reproducing head core 5 in contact with magnetic material 3 never brings reproduction to effect because of a magnetic flux path formed of a magnetic flux form magnetic film 2 as shown by the dotted line. Heating temperature-sensing magnetic material 3 by a heating roller makes magnetic material 3 into a paramagnetic material exerting no influence on magnetic film 2, making it possible to pick up reproduced signals.
