Abstract
PURPOSE:To exactly detect metal being mixed in during pneumatic conveyance section of a belt conveyor by providing a relay self-held in the metal substance detection signal and a counter for counting the metal substances. CONSTITUTION:When initial metal being mixed in is detected in cokes conveyed on a belt conveyor by a metal detector, a relay A is operated and a relay B is simultaneously energized and self-held. Then, the belt conveyor is stopped in its drive unit by the operation of the relay B. Since the relay B is self-held, it continuously produces a stop signal. A signal is applied to an indicator dispenser to dispense an indicator. If there is mixed metal in the pneumatic conveyance section from the stop of the drive unit to the complete stop of the belt conveyor, the relay A is energized every time the mixed-in metal is detected, the number of this energization of the relay is counted by the counter C.
