Abstract
PURPOSE:To inform the degree of any trouble after distinction thereof by providing plural detectors on a convey path, measuring a time required by medium for passing through a distance between the detectors by means of a time measuring means, and comparing it with respective judging times preset in first and second setting means. CONSTITUTION:Detectors 10 disposed on at least two points detect a record medium 5 conveyed through a convey path 6, and then, a time measuring means 11 measures a time required by the medium 5 for passing through a distance between the detectors 10. And, a judging means 14 compares the measured value with set values, which are previously set in first and second setting means 12, 13, so as to judge the present conveyance as normal it the measured value is less than a first set value (less than a second set value), while to inform occurrence of some light trouble caused by roller slip or the like if it is beyond the first set value and less than the second set value, and further, to inform occurrence of some heavy trouble caused by jam or the like if it is beyond the second set value. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the frequency to call a maintenance man so as to avoid waste in maintenance, and further enhance the operation rate of a device.
