Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the revolutions of a valve lever needed to open or close a valve and secure the fastening and holding powers of a valve body by making the inclination of a spiral groove provided on the lever small and large at the both ends and the center respectively thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A bottom valve 2 consists of an opening portion 3, a valve cabinet 4, a valve body 5 and a valve lever 6. A large-diameter portion 16 is formed in the through portion of the boss 10 of the lever 6 and one turn and a half of spiral groove 17 is provided from the upper end to the lower end thereof. The inclinations A at the upper end portion 18 lower end portion 19 and the inclination B at the center of the groove 17 are made small and large respectively. A projection 21 is provided in the boss 10 to be engaged with the groove 17 by a bolt provided orthogonal with the lever 6.
