Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the turning and seating operation of a valve body to be performed easily and securely by providing a switching operation shaft thread-combining with the thread hole of a lift nut fitted on a stopper.
CONSTITUTION: When a handle 19 is turned counterclockwise, a lift nut 9 rises due to the working of a screw 13a and a thread hole 9b and a valve body 2 slightly separates from a valve seat 1b. Then, the lower projection 9e of the nut 9 has come out of the recess portion 10b of a stopper 10. When the handle 9 is further turned counterclockwise, the nut 9 turns together with a shaft 3 and the valve body 2 on a switching operation shaft 13 and the outer projection 9d of the nut 9 turns in about 90° until contacting with the end surface of the projection 10c of the stopper 10 to open the valve. Turning torque is small since the valve body 2 has slightly separated from the seat 1b.
