Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure a change of current that flows from the AC supply to the generator coil and to simplify the work by connecting the output terminal of the AC supply to the output terminal of the generator coil and by changing the position of the salient-pole rotor manually.
CONSTITUTION: The output terminals t, t' of the testing unit 21 are connected to the output terminals T, T' of the generator 1, and when the manual switch 25 is closed, AC current flows in the main generator coil 3 of the generator 1. An alternating voltage is developed in the auxiliary generator coil 4, a magnetic flux is generated in a fixed electrode of the salient-pole rotor 5. Next when the rotation position of the rotor 5 is manually changed a little, the current that flows in the main generator coil 3 is changed. The quality of the engine generator 1 is decided by measuring the said current change by means of the ammeter 27 of the testing unit 21.
