Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect always gas with one unit and make it possible to detect accurately and rapidly gas density by providing a control mechanism which makes one of plural gas-sensitivs elements and the other gas detection-state and reset-state respectively and uses alternately them.
CONSTITUTION: A control mechanism is provided which makes one of plural gas- sensitive elements consiting of metal oxide semiconductor and the other gas detection -state and respectively and uses them alternatively. For example, in case that two gas- sensitive elements S1 and S2, at time T1, relay R1 is switched to the 1 side, and element S2 is connected to meter and performs gas detection operation, and relay R2 is switched to the 1 side to apply reset voltages V1 to elevate the temperature of element S1, and relay R3 is switched to the 0 side to apply use heating V2 to a heater of element S2. Next, at time T2, relay R1 and relay R2 are switched to the 0 side and the 0 side respectively to apply use heating voltage V2 to the heater of element S1, and further, at time T3, element S1 is connected to the meter, and reset voltage V1 is applied so the heater of element S2. This operation is repeated to operate elements S1 and S2 alternatively.
