Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform both side recording and complete recording even if recording paper runs out by providing logic arithmetic circuits which emit a both-side recording command signal. CONSTITUTION:Output of a potentiometer 29 proportional to the quantity of recording paper on a paper feed table is subjected to A/D conversion to obtain the recording paper number A which is then doubled by an adder 38. On the other hand, a desired sheet number B is set in a recording sheet number setter 33 and is converted in a decoder 34, the output whereof and the output of the adder 38 are inputted to a comparator 24 which generates a high level 1 when 2A>=B. With this signal, FF4 delivers a both-side recording command to a control part 39. More specifically, one-side recording is performed down to the A sheet and when this end, energizing circuits 48, 49 are energized to perform recording on the back of the recording sheet having undergone one-side recording. In this way, the recording may be completed without interrupting the recording. It is also possible to so form the circuits that the both-side recording is alternately accomplished on the front and back sides.
