Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an alternately twisted yarn of high twisting density, having alternate not untwisted parts and excessively untwisted parts, and free of zero twist parts, by keeping a thermoplastic multifilament yarn near a false twister after passage of it in a always false twisted state. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic multifilament yarn, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate, is kept at almost an always false-twisted state at least just near a false twister after the passage of it. The rear end of the not untwisted part previously formed and the top thereof are untwisted by the rotation of top of the false twisting zone present after the twister. Thus, the top of the false twisting zone is moved downstream to form the objective twisted yarn having not untwisted parts and excessively untwisted parts alternately.
