Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a line printer while securing a sufficient cooling effect by a method wherein a crossflow fan is arranged at the upper portion of a heating member and air is flowed downward to cool the device, in a line printer incorporating an actuator module as a heating member. CONSTITUTION:A print 19 is arranged in the printing position of a steel type belt, and a hammer actuating module 8 consisting of an actuator lever, armature, core and coil is arranged behind the print 19. A cooling fan 9 (which is a crossflow fan) is provided at the upper portion of a hammer actuator module 8, and blows cooling air in the direction of an arrow 25 toward the hammer actuator module 8 to cool the latter.
