Abstract

PURPOSE:To develop two kinds of electrostatic latent images of different polarities and transfer the two color toner images formed efficiently on recording paper electrostatically at one time by using two kinds of toner particles of positive and negative polarities of different absolute values of intrinsic charge quantities. CONSTITUTION:This is the method of forming two kinds of electrostatic latent images of different polarities on an electrostatic latent image holding medium, developing these by two kinds of toner particles of different polarities to form two-color toner images, charging these two-color toner images to the specified polarity then electrostatically transferring the same on the recording medium, in which case the positive and negative toner particles of such a combination wherein the absolute value of the charge quantity per unit weight of the toner particles having the polarity equal to that when the two-color toner images are charged is smaller than half that of the toner paticles of the opposite polarity are used, whereby the good transfer results may be obtained.
