Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the fatigue of the photoreceptor, particularly charge fatigue by properly selecting the light mainly of a long wavelength regin and the light of a short wavelength region and radiating the same to the photoreceptor.
CONSTITUTION: This is the method and device of properly selecting the light mainly of a long wavelength region and the light mainly of a short wavelength region and radiating the same to the photoreceptor in order to prevent the production of ground stains of copy images owing to the charge fatigue which appears as the increase in the residual potentials after exposure when the photoreceptor is continuously subjected to repetition of charging and exposure, wherein, for example, the same light source 11 and rotary filter 10 are used and the filter 10 is rotated about the axis X so that the desired light is properly radiated to the photoreceptor 3 through the filters permitting the transmission of light of various wavelengths provided on the circumference of the disc.
