NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I: (at least of X's is halogen, the rest are H).
EXAMPLE: Chlorobutyl 2-(p-isobutylphenyl)-propionate.
USE: Antiphlogistics and analgesics.
PROCESS: 2-(p-Isobutylphenyl)-propionic acid of formula II or its reactive derivative is reacted with an alcohol of formula III or its reactive derivative in the presence of an acid catalyst, e.g. sulfuric acid, to give the objective compound of formula I.
