Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance dehydrartion efficiency by turning a vacuum cylinder to wash a cake attached to filter cloth and by pressurizing the cake with rotary pressurizing rollers to fill up crackes in the cake.
CONSTITUTION: The inside of vacuum cylinder 2 is sucked with a vacuumpump to make a vacuum state. Solids contained in a liquid to be treated in liquid vessel 1 are attached to filter cloth 4 to form a cake. This cake attached to cylinder 2 is washed with washing water by means of washing mechanism 5 such as shower. The washed cake is pressurized by rotating rotary pressurizing rollers 6 to fill up cracks in the cake, thus further enhancing the dehydration rate. In this case, by making the peripheral speed of rollers 6 equal to or higher than that of cylinder 2 the effect is improved. Cylinder 2 is provided with air blower 7 to prevent small holes 3 of cylinder 2 and cloth 4 from being clogged.
