Abstract

PURPOSE: For uniform coating of highly viscous material, it is physically deformed into thin layers and particulated by high pressure fluid jet for spray coating.
CONSTITUTION: Material fed from the pump is forced by pressure to pass from the gun holder inlet A through the material feed passage 16 between the inner and outer cylinders, the former forming the air shaft 1, the latter the gun shaft 7. The material then hits the nozzle plate 12 and is made thin film by its own pressure while passing the gap 13 to be fed to the nozzle 3. Compressed air coming from the air shaft 1 and jetted from the nozzle 3 destroys the formed film to form it into mist which is continuously sprayed. This enables highly viscous material spray coating, providing uniformly finished surface coating.
