Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it easy to confirm the existence of powders in a container by detecting that existence in accordance with the difference between the Hall electromotive force when the magnetic powders are in a non-magnetic wall and the Hall electromotive force when they are not in the non-magnetic wall.
CONSTITUTION: If there is no powder existing in a hopper 1, the magnetic field to be generated by the magnet of a roll 3 is so weak that a low electromotive force is generated between the electrodes 8, 9 and 8', 9' of Hall elements 5 and 5'. If, under the same condition, the powders 2 are poured into the hopper 1, the space between the roll 3 and a side plate 4 is filled up with the powders 2. Since the powders 2 are made of a magnetic material, the magnetic field to be generated by the magnet of the roll 3 is strengthened to raise the magnetic flux density. As a result, if the powders 2 are in the hopper, a high electromotive force is generated between the electrodes 8 and 9 or the electrodes 8' and 9' of the Hall element 5 or 5'. This electromotive force is displayed through a control circuit so that the existence of the powders 2 can be detected.
