Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the cooling of coils even and improve yield by coiling the hot rolled steel hoops in a coiling temperature region after hot rolling then immediately covering the inside and outside surfaces of the coils with metal foils of surface radiation rate 0.8 or under. CONSTITUTION:After the hot rolled steel hoop having been rolled in continuous hot rolling processes is coiled in the region of coiling temperatures, the outside and inside surfaces of the hot rolled coils are immediately covered by using metal foils of the same width as the coil width and surface radiation rate 0.8 or under,and are then fixed by iron wires. This prevents the abrupt cooling of the inside and outside surfaces of the hot rolled coils and evens the cooling, thereby making the material quality homogeneous and improving the product yield of the hot rolled coils.
