Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently provide a low-cost titled material excellent in thermofusibility by a method wherein polypropylene or the like is extruded through an extruder to form a blank material, the latter is subjected to a multi-stage drawing at a specified temperature and drawing factor, and the resulting band member is subjected to an embossing treatment.
CONSTITUTION: Raw material consisting mainly of polypropylene is fed from a hopper 1 into an extruder 2, heated to a temperature of about 220°C to melt, and extruded through a metal die 3 to obtain a blank material 4. After cooled in the first water tank 5, the blank material 4 is passed from the first take-up rolls 6 through a first drawing tank 7, where it is drawn at a temperature of 80W110°C to a drawing factor of 5W8. Then the band is passed from the second take-up rolls 8 through the second drawing tank 9, where it is drawn at a temperature of 200W280°C to a drawing factor of more than 1.5, leading to a total drawing factor of 7W12. After the drawing, the band is embossed by embossing rolls 13, annealed in an annealing tank 14, passed through a cooling tank 16, and wound up around a take-up drum 18, to obtain the objective material.
