Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the discharging and to eliminate the extinguishing by providing bymetal switches opening by the heat radiating from the light emiting tube in series with the starting circuit. CONSTITUTION:Since the lamp is cooled before starting, the bymetal switches 5, 7 are closed while when connected to the power source 9 the heat generating resistor 4 is heated. When the bymetal switch 5 is heated to predetermined temperature the bymetal switch 5 is opened to produce high voltage pulse thus to light the light emiting tube 2. When said tube starts to light and the bymetal switch 7 is heated by the radiation to reach to predetermined temperature, the bymetal switch 7 is opened. Since all the current from the ballast 8 side is applied to the light emiting tube 2, stable lighting is maintained.
