Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the pull-in frequency by detecting the fact that the phase synchronization becomes impossible between the input reference signal of the 1st phase comparator and the standard signal and then comparing the control input of the voltage control oscillator with the detection output for output of the control input. CONSTITUTION:Variable frequency oscillator VCO is controlled by the phase difference of the signals between the reference frequency extracted from BPF and the standard frequency. Narrow-band BPF1 extracts the reference signals to give a phase comparison at phase comparator PDT1 between the reference signal and the standard signal. While phase comparator PDT2 gives a phase comparison between the reference signal given from filter BPF2 and the standard signal. Then asynchronization detector USD detects that the phase synchronization becomes impossible between the input reference signal of PDT1 and the standard signal. With this detection output, the control input of VCO is switched SW to the output of the comparator. As a result, the pull-in frequency band can be increased.
