Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A spiral wick heat pipe is constructed with a container 3 and a wick 1 made by twisting a tape wick into spiral and inserted into the container 3 of a metallic pipe 2 so as to contact closely with an inner wall surface 3a of the container 3, and one end side thereof is used for heat-absorbing portion 4 while the other end side is for heat-discharging portion 5. Wire nets, perforated metal sheet or the like is used as the material for the wick. The thickness of the wick is 0.5W 3mm and the pitch for the spiral wick is preferably to be 10W40mm.
